My maternal grandparents came to the U.S. in November of 1979, because they wanted to give their nine kids a better life. My mom was only two months-old when she came to the U.S. About two years later, my grandmother had my youngest aunt (she's the only one born in the U.S.).

My mom became a citizen at a very young age. My grandpa was a hard worker and together with my uncles, they started a roofing business, which is very successful now.
